Bringing sports communities together
Atlatik was designed to help sports enthusiasts find other players, discover teams and organise matches. The application combined social connections with practical tools for participating in sports, from creating a player profile to accepting a match invitation.
Virva Infotech developed the complete application, including registration, sports profiles, search, team creation, match management and messaging. The experience connected these functions through a shared home screen and navigation for discovery, creation and player statistics.
Connecting discovery, communication and match organisation
The application needed to support several connected journeys. Players needed to find relevant people and opportunities, team owners needed to manage membership, and match organisers needed to coordinate invitations and participation.
Making sports discovery useful
Players, teams and matches required distinct search experiences. Users needed filters to narrow their choices by criteria such as sport, age and gender.
Managing invitations and participation
Friend requests, team invitations and match requests each needed clear states. The application also needed to distinguish actions available to players, team owners and match organisers.
Supporting the complete match journey
Match organisation extended beyond creating an event. It included selecting a location, inviting participants, managing responses and recording results after the game.
A connected mobile experience for players and organisers
Registration and sports profiles
We implemented account access through Firebase Authentication, including Apple, Google and Facebook sign-in. Profile setup captured users' preferred sports, roles, skill levels and personal details, alongside a profile picture and bio.
Player, team and match discovery
Dedicated search tabs let users explore players, matches and teams. Search and filtering supported discovery, while profile and detail screens provided routes to connect, request membership or ask to join a match.
Team creation and membership management
Users could create teams, define their sport and membership criteria, and invite players. Team owners could manage membership requests, remove members and share updates with their teams.
Match creation and invitations
A guided creation process captured match information, location and participation requirements. Organisers could invite players or teams, while participants could respond to invitations and manage upcoming and past matches.
Messaging and notifications
Personal messaging and group chats supported communication between users. Team chats, membership updates and notifications connected conversations with activity across the application.
Match results and player recognition
Match completion supported scores, MVP selection and player ratings. Profiles and match history provided a place to view participation and recorded results.
Discover teams and request to join
Atlatik’s team search presented a team’s sport, location and membership information together. Users could explore available teams and submit joining requests, while team owners managed invitations and membership within the application. This connected team discovery with the next practical step: becoming part of a sports group.

The match creation journey guided organisers through entering match details, choosing a location and defining participation requirements. They could then invite players or teams and manage responses.Upcoming matches, invitations and past matches had separate views, helping users follow their participation through each stage.
The technology behind Atlatik
Atlatik was developed using Flutter, with Firebase Authentication supporting account access and social sign-in. Cloud Firestore stored application data, while Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics provided usage insights and crash diagnostics.
